Nairobi, Kenya (18thApril 2011) – Ecotech, the engineering design and project management consultancy has successfully completed and handed over the keys to the new Green Park staff accommodation project in Naivasha for Great Rift Valley Golf & Resort.
The new development is an innovative affordable housing concept aimed at employees for the resort. The development offers modern self-contained rooms and showers; it also incorporates a number of sustainable features including solar photovoltaic panels which will provide up to 30 per cent of the daily hot water usage.
The two new blocks will accommodate 120 workers and it has been built as part of the first of several staff accommodations required by the resort. Ecotech was tasked with engineering and constructing a housing scheme with the aim of a comfortable living environment for the resort employees.
Mr Oliver Muhindi, the resort representative said: “We are all really excited and are very much looking forward to move into our fantastic new affordable staff accommodation. We worked really well in partnership with Ecotech and were kept fully informed of how the project was progressing at every stage.”
This completion is a fantastic achievement by the Ecotech team, and a culmination of hard work and determination despite many challenges commented Eng.
